Last week I blogged about being a Short Order Cook and promised to share some of the great pre-made mixes my clients have brought.
Osa is a beautiful, healthy yellow lab who comes to daycare once a week, recently we had the pleasure of her company for about a week and a half. Osa’s parents have raised her on a naturally prepared diet from the beginning ! It shows too, Osa is bright eyed, energectic, has a shiny, soft coat and very happy.
Osa’s Mom prepared her morning and evening feed ahead time for her stay, placing each portion in a tupperware container. She even labeled the morning and evening feeds and put her vitamins in each container. This was a great time saver for us and ensured that Osa’s feeding routine remained unchanged during her stay.
I kept some of the containers in the freezer and rotated from the freezer, to the fridge, to Osa. I rinsed out the containers and placed them in a bag to return to Osa’s Mom. It was very simple and our pleasure.
While she was here I observed that she got a nice proportion of vegies to meat with rice. Osa’s family chooses to feed all raw food, they have researched canine nutrition and share this dietary information with their veterinarian.
