New Canine Therapy Jacket

dogjacketFeatured in the February 2009 Pet Age magazine is the new Holofiber Draper Canine Therapy Jacket.  The Draper jacket was listed as one of the most exciting products of 2008.

Draper Canine Therapy™ is a new line of dog jackets, blankets and beds featuring the revolutionary material Holofiber®.

Holofiber, which was first made available to the public in January 2003, has been clinically proven to help relax the capillary bed, allowing measurably-increased oxygenation of the blood and contributing to such therapeutic benefits as relief from soreness, stiffness and swelling, increased energy, and accelerated muscle recovery after exertion.

Originally used to help people suffering from diabetic neuropathy and atherosclerosis (i.e., loss of sensation and a hardening of the arteries that results in diminished blood flow and other problems), Holofiber was eventually brought to the sports market, where it helped such stars as Olympic triathlete Michaelli Jones. Thanks to the innovations developed at Draper Canine Therapy, Holofiber is now being used to help non-human athletes as well.

The idea for adapting the benefits of Holofiber to dogs was devised by Kristin Draper of the Draper Knitting Company, a family-owned textile company in Canton, MA that has been leading the textile industry for over 100 years.

“Draper started working with Holofiber early on,” Draper explains, “and when we saw what it could do for humans, we decided to expand the line to include dogs.”

The benefits of Holofiber can visibly improve your dog’s quality of life, whether they’re a young pup, an active six year old, or a couch potato senior.
