Resort DirectorLisa oversees the managers and leads in every department. She holds a BAS in Research Methodology with an emphasis on comparative cognition, and has worked with dogs throughout her career in veterinary settings and in AKC, FCI, and Schutzhund dog sports.

ManagerMadison has been with Friendly Grove since 2015 and brings experience from other pet care facilities. She keeps every appointment scheduled and running smoothly, and handles behind-the-scenes work like inventory and supply ordering.

Assistant ManagerConstance has been with Friendly Grove for 5 years and brings more than 30 years of experience with dogs, plus a background in wildlife rehab. What services does Friendly Grove offer?
We offer overnight dog boarding, enriched dog daycare, and a full grooming and spa service, all on one 28-acre property in Olympia. Through our sister company, Across The Pond Pets, we also help with pet travel and relocation.
Where are you located, and what areas do you serve?
We're at 2901 Friendly Grove Rd NE in Olympia, WA, and we welcome dogs from across Thurston County, including Lacey and Tumwater.
What are your hours?
We're open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. We're closed on Sunday.
Does my dog need an evaluation before their first visit?
Dogs joining daycare play groups start with a supervised four-hour Intro Day, so we can match them with the right group. We also encourage an Intro Day before a first boarding stay. Private daycare doesn't require one.
How much does boarding cost?
Boarding packages start at $65 per night, with meals and medications included. Rates are per night, not per day, and there's no charge for pickup before noon. See boarding rates and packages.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes. Active duty military save 5% on all services, and prepaid daycare play group packages save 5% to 15%.
